well, my boy austin wadlow set up a blog site for me. it’s 11:30. austin and i are sitting in my living room following a collegiate minister’s meeting in monroe. i’m reminded of the power of relationships…discipleship. my campus minister from college sat across from me. bruce had a huge impact on my life for Christ. austin sat next to me. i helped austin come to grips with his call to ministry/college work. to the left of me was keith and steve who have invested 25 plus years into students at ole miss and lsu primarily.
what i do seems insignificant to me sometimes but then i see the impact of relationships. the people i respect the most in the world are not known by many, but they make a huge impact on the kingdom. man, i hope you’ll give you life to something bigger than yourself.
talked to mike lopez of the imb today. he said he recently got back from asia and s e asia. he met with missionaries there. they represent about 2 billion lost people. they asked mike where the student missionaries were. they have huge needs for volunteers/short term missy’s, but students are not going. they asked where are they. mike said, “they are at big conferences talking about you and talking about missions.” whoa. we must take action.
